About Us
Yolo County Arts Council, (YCAC) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1981 as a
recommendation of the Yolo County Cultural Plan to further the arts and culture of the county.
Our Mission is to actively foster, develop, and advocate support for all the arts; to advance
arts education in all county schools and community; and to foster communication among artists,
business, education, government.
YCAC is the designated State/Local Partner for the California Arts Council and we are designated
by the Yolo County Board of Supervisors as the central agency for the arts in Yolo County. We work
to collaborate with strategic partners to provide Yolo County Residents resources
for development of the arts, promote art education and develop an artist network

Technical Assistance:
The YCAC maintains the Yoloarts Resource Directory, a listing of artists, arts organizations,
art related businesses, venues that are available for arts events, instructors and other
educational arts resources in Yolo County.
We provide technical support for artists and arts organizations in the community that includes
grant assistance, fiscal receivership, and workshops that relate to marketing, grant opportunities
and technology for artists.

YCAC Board of Directors
The YCAC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. These civic minded leaders represent
the geographical and cultural diversity of Yolo County, and bring their particular areas of
expertise to the decision making process of our various committees. The board meets monthly
and as needed by their respective committees.
